This week is Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week and we’re shining a spotlight on our teams who support residents to tackle ASB in our communities.
We’re sharing cases of success stories every day, here’s our first...
Our team received reports of ongoing noise nuisance. They gave the household affected access to an app to record evidence of the disturbances.
The app gave us plenty of evidence of noise nuisance so we were able to issue a formal tenancy warning to the perpetrator.
Unfortunately the perpetrators carried on with the noise and we escalated the case to a solicitor.
They issued A Letter Before Action, formally warning that further reports would result in court proceedings for a Civil Injunction.
Since then, there have been no more incidents, peace has been restored.
Thanks to consistent and credible evidence provided by the complainant, we were able to clearly illustrate the impact of the nuisance and escalate the case effectively. The progression to legal intervention ensured that the issue was taken seriously and prioritised the peace of the surrounding residents.
Case closed!
You don’t have to put up with ASB – if it is affecting you, we can help.
