It’s ASB Awareness Week and here’s another success story, this is about youth nuisance.
We received a number of complaints from residents in a high rise block. They told us, youths were entering the premises, through a broken communal door and carrying out anti social behaviour included kicking doors, and damaging property.
We asked residents to contact the police when further incidents occurred and our investigations began. We examined doorbell camera footage which captured one youth in school uniform so we asked the school to help identify them.
They did and addressed the matter internally with the student, we also issued a tenancy warning to the individual's parents to reinforce the seriousness of the incident.
We improved block security mending the communal door to prevent unauthorised access.
Since these actions were taken, there have been no further reports of disturbances at the block.
Residents were happy with our prompt and coordinated response.
