Community groups in north Manchester can apply to receive either grant funding or the support of volunteers from our repairs provider, EQUANS.
If you have a project based in the M8, M9 or M40 postcodes of Manchester, then you can apply for either:
- A grant towards a project/initiative that can demonstrate an impact on the local community, or
- The support of volunteers from EQUANS. E.g. skilled staff to complete building work, or office staff who can help with other tasks.
Applications for the current round of funding close on 28 November.
To find out more and apply, please email lauren.kelly@equans.com for an application pack.
Here’s a few of the projects they have funded so far this year.
- £3,000 to Humans MCR to support their foodbank on wheels and community grocers on wheels in Cheetham, Charlestown, Higher Blackley, Moston and Newton Heath.
- They donated £4,000 to Manchester Youth Zone to fund 2,000 free hot meals for their members.
- During Mental Health Awareness Week, they donated £539 to Nephra Good Neighbours to help fund a retro gaming console for their Men’s Mental Health Club. The gaming sessions offer a natural starting point for conversation, encouraging men to share experiences and support one another in a relaxed environment.
