At MCC Housing Services, we’re always looking for ways to improve the services and support we provide to residents.
That’s why 13 of our team members recently completed a three-day Project Management Fundamentals course, designed to help us deliver better services in a more structured and effective way.
This training was led by Stephen Repton, CEO of Manchester-based Flowlio and a member of our Independent Housing Advisory Board.
Stephen generously gave his time to help our team build new skills—without any cost to MCC Housing Services. The course is a UK government-recognised, accredited program, giving our staff a Level 3 qualification in Project Management.
What does this mean for you as a resident?
It means that our team is now even better equipped to plan, manage, and complete projects that improve our services.
Whether it’s streamlining maintenance, enhancing resident support programs, or introducing new initiatives, this training helps us make sure changes are well-organised, effective, and beneficial in the long run.
By using a structured approach, we can work more efficiently, involve the right people at the right time, and ensure that improvements are carefully planned and delivered.
Tracy Langton, Head of Income, said; "This course has highlighted that, at all levels within the organisation, we need to develop our project management skills.
"It has been a really beneficial experience that we can share with others and encourage further development across the service."
Stephen Repton CEO of Flowlio and MCC Independent Housing Advisory Board Member, comments; “Having an opportunity to deliver this training, outlines the fantastic progress that’s being made in MCC Housing Services.
"It equips the team with the skills, tools, and knowledge, across the board to deliver successful project outcomes, which in turn, will result in service benefits being realised for the people of Manchester”.
As Jen Boswell, our Strategic Lead for Resident Experience, explains: "The skills our team has gained will help us deliver high-quality projects that bring real improvements for residents."
We’re proud of our team’s achievement and grateful to Stephen for his support.
This training is just one of the many ways we’re committed to continual improvement—because better-trained staff mean better services for you.
