Mental Health Awareness Week runs from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 May — a time to shine a light on the importance of good mental health.
This year’s theme is ‘community’ — celebrating the strength and support that comes from being part of a positive, connected community.
A safe, supportive community plays a vital role in our mental health and wellbeing. When we feel connected to others, we feel less alone, more secure, and more able to cope with life’s challenges. Community gives us a sense of belonging, purpose, and resilience.

Mindful MANchester
Wednesday 14 May, 6 - 9pm
Working together to reduce the stigma around men's mental health. Live comedy, pool, darts, chess, wellbeing support, meditation, retro video games, pizza, 1-on-1 advice, work and skills, free barber, chin-up rig.

SICK! Mental Health Arts Programme
9, 16 & 23 May, 10.30am - 12:30pm
SICK! Mental Health Arts Programme (SMASH!) is a creative social prescribing project offering a range of creative, innovative experiences designed to:
- Help improve how participants feel
- Increase their understanding of mental health and illness
- Enable them to meet and share their thoughts with others who are facing similar experiences
- Increase confidence in talking about their experiences
- Provide new creative tools for exploring and expressing mental health experiences
Harpurhey Together Banner Workshop
Monday 19 May, 1 - 3pm
Join No.93’s creative workshop to help make a banner for Harpurhey Together’s Parade. The parade takes place on Sunday 29 June from and will be leaving North City Leisure centre at 1pm and walking to Queen’s Park where there will be family friendly activities & free food provided from 3 - 6pm.
Living with Dementia Café
Starts Thursday 22 May (then every other Thursday), 12 - 2.30pm
A safe space fro support and connection. Join us for arts and crafts, specialised sessions, and friendly chats.
Refreshments provided
Supporting anyone affected by dementia and their carers.
Menopause & Me
Tuesday 27 May, 10am - 12noon
Join a Menopause Support Group - a warm, friendly space to share experiences, chat about symptonms, and support each other through the jounrney. Menopause doesn't mean your life is on pause!
