Thinking about moving home as you get older?
If you’ve ever wondered whether your current home is still the right fit, we’re here to help.
We support social housing tenants across Manchester to find homes that suit their needs now and in the future. This free service is called rightsizing.
What is rightsizing?
Rightsizing helps people who live alone or with a partner and have spare bedrooms in a family-sized home to explore more suitable housing options.
If you choose to move, you could receive a £2,500 cash incentive, paid after you’ve moved, to spend on whatever you like.

Why people choose to rightsize
People think about moving for lots of reasons, including:
-
being closer to family or friends
-
reducing household bills
-
having a home that’s easier to clean and maintain
-
finding a property all on one level
-
planning ahead for later life
Whatever your reason, we can help you understand what options are available.

It’s free to use
-
There’s no commitment to move
