The rising cost of living continues to affect households across Manchester, with many residents facing increasing pressure from rising food prices, energy bills and everyday living costs.

We know that things are challenging at the moment, which is why our dedicated Money Matters Team continues to provide support, guidance and practical help to residents who may be struggling financially.

Last year, the team helped residents save more than £695,000 through financial support, benefits advice, grants, budgeting assistance and access to additional funding.

Alongside this, around £150,000 in support funding has also been distributed to residents most affected by the ongoing cost of living pressures.

Supporting Residents When It Matters Most

The Money Matters Team works directly with residents to help them access the support they may be entitled to and find ways to reduce financial pressure.

The service can help with:

  • Benefits and welfare advice
  • Budgeting support
  • Help accessing grants and hardship funding
  • Energy and fuel support
  • Advice around rent and household bills
  • Signposting to additional support services

Whether you are worried about rising bills, struggling to make ends meet, or simply unsure what support may be available, the team is here to help.
